Will Bowman Films
William Bowman, Senior Producer here at La Grande Alive TV, is a local writer and filmmaker that lives in La Grande and makes short videos. He does long-form dramas and short comedy skits.
Will was raised in Fairbanks Alaska where he studied film for the first time in high school at Hutchison High School. He continued his studies at Eastern Oregon University and graduated with two degrees in film production and English – Creative Writing and Literature. After graduation, he immediately began work at Brent Clapp Media Studios as a part-time producer and has since become the senior producer of La Grande Alive, a local online television station in La Grande, Oregon.
Will’s comedy is oftentimes dry and situational and are often sprung from conversations with friends that end with the words, “You know, that would make a funny little video.” They are often short, quick, and to the point, and poke fun at things ranging from the eucharist to over-controlling spouses. His dramas, which are normally longer, are often laden with a heavy spiritual tenor. These films explore the duality of the human condition, the conflict between the dark and light sides of the human psyche, and experiment with the different relationships in between them, often pulling from Will’s own direct experiences in this area. In addition to writing and filming, Will loves to run and backpack and take long trips driving around Eastern Oregon and exploring small towns with his girlfriend. Someday will hopes to produce small-budget films and write full-time.
